Our first trip to Failaka!

Mama was in a dream-like state when we boarded the boat to take us to Failaka. She says that's her favorite place in the world. She was so excited about being there she forgot to take photos after we boarded the boat. Papa and I pet the camels as she was riding horses. We all had a great time and we'll be going back really soon! We walked through a car show on the way to the docks and Papa and I enjoyed all the cars we passed...including one that papa said is worth millions of dollars.

Who teaches them that?

Sometimes as a mom you just have to ask "who teaches them that"...I can tell you without doubt that Hamlet and I have ALWAYS eaten all of our sandwiches...

This is papa and mama's "bedroom"...it's a one bedroom apartment so they sleep in the main room and I get the bedroom so I can take naps...
Mama and papa bought this really cool rug from IKEA that has road on it and I play with my cars and trains on it.
That's my bed. It's a small room so mama couldn't get more in the photo...but there is a couch and a wardrobe in there too.
That's our kitchen...complete with a gas stove. Mama's still experimenting to know how to bake without burning things...
This is another view mama and papa's bedroom. We like to watch movies together and sit on the bed.

our weekend in Kuwait

Today I enjoyed quality time at the beach...I even met a friend...

before the beach today Papa and I watched "Bob the Builder"...only it was in greek (I didn't mind)
We visited with our friends Charlene and Dotun after church on Friday. Dotun and Charlene are parent's of mama's good friend Sade-who is studying at a University in Canada right now...
I was a bit tired in this picture otherwise I would have been smiling with everyone else!

bath time

I've always had a bathtub to play in before we came to Kuwait. I'm scared of taking a shower so I've been taking bath's at other people's house while we visit them...until today. Today I took my first bath in my new tub. When I'm not taking a bath in it mama uses it for my toys.

a visit to papa's school

On Thursday's mama and I are going to visit Papa for lunchtime and visit some of mama's friends. Here's me with papa in his classroom. There's also a photo of me playing cars with Mama's friends Eman and Manal. The last one is a photo of me watching a movie with the KG kids at ACA.

Greetings from Kuwait City, Kuwait! We moved here on December 28, 2009 from Portland, Oregon. Here are a few photos of me visiting the Kuwait National Museum and the Sadu House. I miss my friends in Oregon, but I'm having alot of fun playing at the beach and watching the boats...and learning about the different life here in my new home. Here is a photo of me at the door of the Sadu house (the traditional weaving museum...where my mom helped make a book by taking photos of the weaving). There is a photo of me sitting on the traditional chairs for a "diwaniya",a place for sitting and socializing. There is a photo the traditional fishing boats as well as a photo of our new apartment building. We live on the 6th floor. I like pushing the buttons for the "alligator" (my parents call it an elevator) and walking on the roof where I can look over the side and see all the cars, buses, cranes and Mighty machines below!
