big words and 'lost in translation"

So all of a sudden I surprised my parents with a new big word..."dangerous". They aren't really sure where I learned it; but I'm using it in the right context and now that I know mama and papa laugh everytime I use it I like to say it alot.

Mama laughed the other day when we were driving home in a taxi and she asked me what I wanted for lunch. I said "hot dog and french fries". She responded in spanish "perrito caliente y papas fritas" and I said, "no, I don't want to go to papa's school...I want french fries".

Qatar and birthday suits.

Yes that's right. My birthday suit. We found a secluded beach that's a little piece of heaven in busy, crowded Kuwait...and I just happen to feel my best when I'm not wearing much.
While visiting our friends in Qatar we walked through the old souk area and posed for a photo op.

This is Mark and Marianne's Qatari garden. We enjoyed several meals outside in their garden in the cool of the day...it was very refreshing!

People like to take my photo and touch my hair

This man and his child didn't know me...they just wanted to take a photo with the blond haired blued eyed boy. I guess I'm pretty popular just because my hair and eye color is different from everyone else here... Mom brought me to the zoo the first time and we had ice cream...so of course every time we come we have to have ice cream! (my Oregonian friends would be shocked at how much "bad food" we eat here!)

Krispy Kreme in Kuwait!

One of our beach traditions is to stop for a donut every time. (My parents aren't thrilled...but I remembered from the first time Papa introduced me to them!)

dust storms

I woke up to another day of dust storms when this photo was taken. We had about 2 weeks of weather like this. It's not good to outside...so we just camped out inside and watched alot of Thomas!
