more failaka fun with friends

nothing like playing at the beach with friends! After the beach we expored more of the island, the tank graveyard, and the old bank (riddled with bullet holes).  Then back to our hotel for tickling with grass and relaxing...

another day on Failaka

We were happy to meet up with our archeologist friend, Khaled.  He hosted us to several meals during our visit on the island (we also enjoyed MORE exploring of the "ghost town")...I even found legos abandoned in a classroom from the occupation 20 years ago!

fun at Failaka

Enjoyed some great times on Failaka with the family! Driving in the desert, paddleboating and exploring the ruins of the island from the Iraq occupation

the milk man

Mama is happy to find farm fresh raw milk.  We buy cows milk (although we might try camel's milk next time), butter and laban from the store.

a morning at the beach

took some friends to a pretty beach to play.  I found a cement block that I told mama was a radio.  There were TONS of crab holes...but we didn't see any today.  Last time I dug a hole in the sand a crab ran out of it!

my first joke

My first joke.  I learned it from adventures in odessey (which I listen to every night and during nap time).  It's the joke about the 3 prisoners that went before a firing squad.  The first one said "earthquake", the second said "tornado" and both escaped...the third one said "fire".
